Additional information

This chapter is one of a series of articles and book chapters written since 2008 on the way architecture was imaged and imagined in the eighteenth century. Some of these pieces began as invited conference papers or keynotes. These writings, plus new work, will be published in my forthcoming monograph Architectural Aesthetics: Interpreting Classical Antiquity in the 18th Century, which is contracted to IB Tauris.
