Additional information
This research was featured as the Frontispiece of the special issue of Advanced Materials that celebrated the 800th Anniversary of the University of Cambridge. It formed one of the four work packages in the COSMOS Technology Translation award funded by the EPSRC (COSMOS TT, 2010-2012, £864,033, Ref: EP/H046658/1). It also attracted collaboration and funding from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratories (contact details available) to develop tuneable optical filters (‘Switchable Optical filter’ April 2012 – Sept. 2013, ~£100k, Internal Ref: RG61738).
