Additional information

A series of models was developed and used for developing new coating products in partnership with Monitor Coating Ltd. This project has increased the technical capacity of the company and allowed them to develop new products more efficiently by reducing time-consuming experiments. Contact: Dr Bryan Allcock, b.allcock@monitor.

Further outputs include an EU FP7 project, SIMUSPRAY: Computational Simulation to Enhance Technology Development of Thermal Spray Coating (230715) in collaboration with Pyrogenesis SA (Dr Michalis Vardavoulias mvardavoulias@pyrogenesis-sa.gr). The results of this project further led to EU FP7 project, IPACTS: International Partnership for Advanced Coatings by Thermal Spraying (268696, €700k, Coordinator – Gu).
