Additional information

The journal paper explores a case study undertaken in Chinese industry - based on unique access to a high tech organisation - and comments on strategy, process and culture. This subsequently formed the basis for an RCUK-funded Summer School, undertaken in 2010, which disseminated its findings to a range of government agencies and design consultancies.

Williams’ contribution relates to negotiation of access to the case study organisation, analysis of case study findings undertaken by Zhang, and the development of a model of NPD specific to Chinese organisations. Other publications arising from this include:

Technology Transfer in Chinese Organisations: Managing Beyond Steady State, Andrew C & Williams A, China Association for Management of Technology (CAMOT) International Conference, Beijing, 2008.
