Additional information

This paper reports the solvothermal synthesis and characterization of a new class of porous composites of metal-organic frameworks and graphene, using spectroscopic and imaging techniques. The significance of this research was acknowledged at the 2011 International Carbon Conference as Dr. Petit received the French Carbon Group Award (http://www.gfec.net/) and gave an invited talk (Shanghai, China, Jul. 2011). This work encouraged new research by other groups on the application of these materials in CO2 capture (Chem. Commun. 2013, 49, 4947) and sensing (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2010, 132, 14487).
