Additional information

This is the first paper where the use of thermal stores in small CHP plants is investigated in the context of the UK market for decentralized energy production. It demonstrates in a quantitative way the advantages of thermal stores for improving the economics of CHP in the UK. The paper was based on work done under the European funded (FP6) project DESIRE on the large scale integration of wind energy using CHP with thermal stores
