Additional information

<26> Simulating accurate global illumination is computationally expensive. Our work is the first to demonstrate accurate simulation of global illumination, including glossy surfaces and multiple indirect bounces, that was performed at interactive rates. The crux of the method is a novel algorithm exploiting parallelism of modern GPUs. As a result, the number of final gathering samples computed per second is significantly higher than with any other method (at time of publication about 8x more). We evaluated our method on a number of different scenes (with varying parameter settings) and compared it to other state-of-the-art methods.
