Additional information

This paper was a collaboration between my group (optical experiments) and the Würzburg group which provided the high-quality micropillar samples. It was the first clear demonstration of the dynamics of the second rung of the Jaynes Cummings ladder in the optical range in solid state, and clear evidence of the so-called quantum strong coupling regime. The data analysis was done by Kasprzak and myself, and the theory was developed by Muljarov and myself.
