I led this paper (selected as Best of NJP 2010), which presents the first fully autonomous analysis “pipeline” for gravitational-wave detection – a technique which will be essential for future GW experiments and which has now been adopted by other LIGO groups for use in supernova and high-energy neutrino searches. I developed and specified all of the key features of the pipeline and wrote most of the paper.
