Additional information

<26> One of the first major papers in the emerging area of digital fabrication, of great novelty in exploring the problem of converting 3D digital models into physically fabricatable parts and connectors. Also first to use a grammar-based approach for structural analysis in graphics. Published in ACM Transactions on Graphics (world-leading journal in the area), and presented at the annual SIGGRAPH conference (acceptance ratio: 94/412). International collaboration with distinguished researcher (Igarashi) in the field. Led to invited article in IEEE Computer (2012), and award of full PhD student funding from Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship Programme (2013).
