Additional information

New empirical evidence is presented in this work to support previously held conjectures regarding the dependability of embedded control architectures. The methodology and results employed have influenced others working in related high-integrity system areas (Rankin & Jiang, IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science 58 (2), pp. 468-478; Wang et al., Journal of System Simulation 24(12), pp. 2473-2478). The paper has also been influential in shaping product development in the embedded control systems industry (see http://www.tte-systems.com/technology or email Dr. Michael Pont: m.pont@le.ac.uk, former CEO of TTE Systems Ltd).
