Additional information

This output is the result of international collaboration between Teesside and Japan (Miyagi University, Prof. Koji Makanae) funded by the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science and we understand from Prof. Makanae that it has been utilised by Miyagi Prefecture to train staff and assist in road layout planning. This output has also contributed to the development of research into heuristic simulation for selection of highway investment alternatives (sunil.madanu@mavs.uta.edu).
