This chapter forms part of an international collection of papers. The work was peer reviewed by a prestigious international panel. The chapter presents a case study of an innovative project which encouraged student teachers to learn from commercial films made about schooling and education. The data were collected from virtual learning discussion board entries (n.57), and from field notes made from post-screening discussions (n.10). The chapter offers insights and recommendations on how films about schooling can stimulate learning around important issues amongst student-teachers by extra-curricular provision in ways that many current teacher training programmes in England arguably fail to do
