Post-war Planning on the Periphery : Anglo-American Economic Diplomacy in South America, 1939-1945
Post-War Planning on the Periphery is the product of extensive analysis of a large body of sources. Conducted over a period of six years, research for the book entailed work in twelve different archives in the United Kingdom, the United States and the Netherlands. Many of the primary sources consulted were particularly extensive and complex. This primary research was augmented by analysis of a large number of published documents and secondary sources. The extensive research conducted for the book allowed for the presentation of a sophisticated thesis which substantially challenged existing understandings of Anglo-American economic diplomacy during World War II.
