Brown took responsibility for editing all the material in this first volume of the two volume set. Andrew Taylor, who will have responsibility for the majority of the extracts included in the longer Volume 2, had joint oversight of the editing process at all stages and thus made an important contribution to volume 1, but Brown can be deemed to have contributed 80% of the total volume.
