<12>Work (funded by EU ADMIRE project, FP7 ICT 215024) proposes a systematic way of optimising large-scale scientific workflows. This will have significant impact on data-intensive scientific projects that make use of large-scale collection. We develop a novel schema for performance databases, which can then be used to optimise workflows. Our work has been applied in other EU FP7 projects (such as the VERCE project (283543) for earthquakes and seismology). Approach was evaluated through real use cases to test our hypotheses.
