Additional information

This publication describes research that has led a patent application which is now being examined with a view to commercialisation by UMIP (the University technology transfer team). The research has been the first to examine the use of ferroelectric fillers as a way of improving the performance of high voltage power electronic modules and has demonstrated a partial discharge performance improvement of 65%. Two of the authors (contact details available) are with Dynex Semiconductors Ltd with whom this work was carried out as part of an EPSRC project.
