Although many heuristic parameter estimation algorithms have been developed to identify kinetic constants in large, complex biochemical regulatory networks, issues such as validation and complexity are difficult to address. This paper allows the optimal estimated properties to be properly validated. The results of the research have been exploited in research at the University of Sheffield and industrially in Lonza Biologics (doi: 10.1002/bit.22769, doi: 10.1002/btpr.692). Fei He, the PhD student on this project, has been appointed as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield.
