Double weighting is requested for this output because this 80000 word monograph was underpinned by extensive archival research conducted over four years. Paper archives consulted included the British Film Institute library, the John Grierson archive in Stirling, the Colindale Newspaper Library, and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University. At the time of researching the monograph, very few of the films central to the project were commercially available, so the research also entailed work at the National Film and Television archive, the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales, and the East Anglian Film Archive.
