Additional information

This article received a complimentary editorial feature in the journal, which is the top rated in cardiac electrophysiology. Hanson was invited to present the findings in a lecture (Computational Biology Lecture Series, 5/10/2010) at Oxford University; ensuing collaboration resulted in publications in the Physiology Society conference 2011, CardioSTIM 2012, PLoS ONE, Frontiers in Physiology and a major grant application to MRC (£1.2M, unsuccessful but further application in process). Further collaboration based on this study with the Heart Hospital resulted in a successful £950k MRC grant (G0901819), and two funded PhD studentships in Engineering, working directly with patients and cardiologists.
