Additional information

<07>This is the first paper to qualitatively analyse the communication patterns found in current multi threaded applications. The results of this paper have been used so far by by Fu et al. (DOI:10.1145/2000064.2000096) and Demetriades et al. (DOI:10.1109/MICRO.2012.40) to motivate their work, and used by Vitkovskiy et al. to focus their experiments (DOI:10.1109/ICCD.2010.5647663). This work led to increased colloboration between Fensch and Cole (mic@inf.ed.ac.uk), providing the basis for DOI:10.1145/1854273.1854293 and

DOI:10.1109/TC.2012.52. This work is published in an IEEE peer-reviewed conference specialised on workload characterisation, industrially sponsored by AMD.
