Additional information

<08>This research, which was central to Yang’s PhD, led directly to a subsequent PhD by Natalia Chechina (HWU 2011) who provided verification of its models through simulation. In turn, the models strongly influenced Armih’s PhD on heterogeneous skeletons (HWU, 2013) (e.g. doi> 10.1145/2034751.2034755) and Al Salkini’s on-going PhD (HWU, 20010-present) into mobile algorithmic skeletons . The research was presented by invitation to an industrial audience at the Technology Strategy Board Knowledge Transfer Network Multi-core Challenge event in Bristol in 2013. This paper is now the primary reference for this research.
