Significance of output:

This paper was the first to apply nonlinear supercapacitor models to energy harvesting sensor nodes, and propose that voltage drops, commonly attributed to leakage, are an artefact of internal charge redistribution. This paper illustrates the reality of supercapacitor behaviour to energy harvesting and wireless sensing communities. The work led to an invited keynote lecture at an energy harvesting workshop during the 9th Int’l Conf. Networked Sensing Systems (INSS) (June 2012).
