Additional information

Speirs took the largest share of editorial responsibility for the substance of the volume. In addition to his own chapter (9), Speirs was sole author of the Introduction and contributed substantively to Chapters 3 (by Wagner), 5, (by Kurz), 7 (by Sandberg), 8 (by Lothe), and 9 (by Corngold). He also shared responsibility with Lothe for standardising the English throughout. Some of this work is acknowledged in the volume (see Acknowledgements, footnotes by Lothe and Corngold, and Corngold’s postscript).
