γ-ray spectroscopy of the odd-odd N=Z+2 deformed proton emitter ^{112}Cs

Wady was a PhD student at UWS supervised by Smith. The data for this publication came from an experiment at Argonne National Laboratory in the USA using the Gammasphere spectrometer; Smith was spokesperson for the experiment, and led the collaboration. Smith supervised the data analysis and the publication of results. Smith wrote the majority of the codes used in the data analysis. In addition to the main results, the paper also reports the possible fine structure in the proton decay of 112Cs. A number of other experimental groups e.g. ORNL have recently carried out work in this region.
