Additional information

This paper follows previous work in collaboration primarily with the Sheffield University, Department of Biomedical Sciences and is part of an ongoing programme to determine the factors that control the development of hair cells, following on from other recent collaborative papers (Furness et al, 2013; PNAS, 110, 13898; Johnson et al, 2013, PNAS;110, 8720-5; Alagramam et al., 2011, PLoS One. 6(4):e19183, Zampini et al, 2011, PLosBiol,:e1001048). Additional income was generated by collaboration with Sheffield and is likely to lead to novel strategies for understanding developmental abnormalities of hearing and to further funding.
