Additional information

The first of two companion papers focused on application of microwave tomography (MWT) for imaging of the extremity’s soft tissues. The impact is in clear demonstration that i) new imaging technology is able to “sense” physiological conditions of tissue and ii) the hardware implementation presents good performance characteristics to achieve imaging goals. This article attracts industrial attention and leads to further development towards clinical applications. This was a key deliverable from NIH funding (R01 Grant No: Grant No: 5R01EB007211), Prof Semenov is the Principal Investigator of the NIH funded project. Semenov is the lead author on this paper.
