Additional information

This paper presents a comprehensive multi-physics simulation approach for hydraulic power take-off devices and is the first to consider realistic hydraulic circuits and components. This research has led to industrially funded projects to advise on power take-off design and control with Ocean Power Technology, Wavebob, Archimedes Wave Swing, GarradHassan and others (Ref: Stuart Bower, Engineering & Projects Director, sbower@oceanpowertech.com; Michael Livingston, Michael.Livingstone@gl-garradhassan.com). The research was also presented as an invited plenary address at the 8th International Fluid Power Conference, Dresden, March 2012.
