Additional information

This paper contributes to an important and challenging problem - the stabilization and robust control of switched system with time delay. This is widely recognised as one of the most challenging control problems applicable to power systems, networked control systems, traffic control, electronics control etc. The results presented have a significant impact since it solves a fundamental theoretical problem, contact: James Whidborne, Email: j.f.whidborne@cranfield.ac.uk; Hu, Huosheng, Email: hhu@essex.ac.uk. They lead to a great deal of follow-up work (for example, contact: R. Sakthivel, Email: krsakthivel@yahoo.com) and an application: full-envelope networked flight control systems using the switched system approach, contact: L. Xu, Email: xulijie@asee.buaa.edu.cn).
