Additional information

This paper describes, for the first time, screening of a solid-catalysed liquid-liquid reaction in a mesoscale oscillatory baffled reactor, demonstrating one of the key advantages of this flow screening platform over conventional designs: it can easily accommodate various combinations of phases, including solids (which are extremely difficult to accommodate in conventional microchannel screening devices). A reactor has been sold to Fujifilm Imaging Colourants, Grangemouth (contact: Doug Spencer Doug.Spencer@fujifilmic.com) for process screening, and further commercial exploitation is being explored.
