Additional information

This study is a substantial contribution to understanding and combating combustion instabilities encountered in lean premixed combustors adopted for power generation and propulsion applications for control of NOx and other emissions. It focuses on fundamental physico-chemical process of liquid fuel vaporization as a contributing agent towards thermo-chemical instabilites routinely encountered in current generation dry low NOx combustors responsible for a variety of atmospheric effects. Additionally, the integrity of the hardware, especially for rocket motors , is liable to be degraded substantially via the instability which is modelled and validated for a routine design and development engineering.
