Playfer had the original idea for this analysis, which is unique to the BaBar experiment. He developed many of the methods used for this analysis, and in particular studied the largest systematic error, which is due to the understanding of the hadronic fragmentation which is modelled by JETSET. He supervised students and postdocs through to the completion of the analysis. During 2006-2008 he was system manager for the BaBar electromagnetic calorimeter. The calibration of the photon detection efficiency and energy resolution are critical to this analysis.
