Persona and Paradox: Issues of Identity for C.S. Lewis, his Friends and Associates
Gray was invited by Professor Suzanne Bray of Lille Catholic University to join the Academic Panel for the international conference “Persona and Paradox: Issues of Identity for C.S. Lewis, his Friends and Associates” at Lille in June 2011—the first Lewis conference to be held in France. Gray wrote the 3000 word Preface to the book of the conference, and a chapter entitled “‘A New Literary Species, a New Rhetoric, a New Climate of the Imagination’: C.S. Lewis on E.R. Eddison” about Lewis’s complex relationship with Eddison, whose writings, including The Worm Ouroboros, are an under-researched influence on modern fantasy.
