Additional information

This co-edited 100,000 word collection of critical essays uniquely considers the full range of a major contemporary artist's works: in drama, directing, scenography, poetry, painting and theory. Rabey contributed: an introduction (8,750 words), providing an exposition of the development of Barker’s work, and of the rationale which emerges sequentially through the essays included; an essay (5,582 words) on Barker’s poetry; a transcribed dialogue with Barker (5,805 words); bibliography; chronology. Goldingay contributed a 4,508 word chapter. Rabey determined inclusion of essays. Goldingay assisted with contract negotiation and final copy-editing. In view of the proportionate contributions, the billing of editorship is non-alphabetical.
