A giant electrocaloric effect in nanoscale antiferroelectric and ferroelectric phases coexisting in a relaxor Pb0.8Ba0.2ZrO3 thin film at room temperature
This paper reported for the first time the formation of a thin film, by a new chemical solution deposition process, with an electrocaloric effect (ECE) large enough for use as solid-state cooling medium (temperature change 45°C compared to 1-2°C for traditional materials) (pengbl8@162.com). The results led to three invited / plenary talks (Zhang) in international conferences: Materials & Technologies For Sustainable Growth 2013 (contact eco,matech@ung.si), Materials Science & Technology 2012 (contact SKo@bridgesemi.com), 7th International conference on Advanced Materials Processing 2012 (contact jryang@ntu.edu.tw).
