Additional information

Collaboration between Cranfield University and Dresser Rand (UK), a manufacturer of steam turbines. Funded under DTI/EEDA grant, EEDA ref. PMS 4591.

The radically-novel generalized higher order spectra developed in this work led to improved effectiveness of damage detection in turbines. Technology transfer of this technique has enabled Dresser Rand to maintain its world leading scientific and commercial edge in development of bespoke steam turbines, to decrease maintenance costs and improve turbine safety and reliability.
