Additional information

Massey was the lead author’s co-supervisor when work began, and helped to define the project. Massey worked very closely with Leauthaud on the lensing analysis (S2.1), including an optimized calibration/weighting scheme (S3.1). Massey also developed a mechanism to handle photo-z errors in specifically the context of this paper (S7.1, figure 8). We always intended this to be Leauthaud's first COSMOS science paper and a chapter of her PhD thesis, but analysis took several years. During this time the core team (first 10 authors before alphabetical order) maintained close collaboration including 1-2 visits in person per year.
