Additional information

Pollution control from the textile industry is very important since the discharge of dyes into the environment is not only aesthetically unacceptable but it imparts significant health and environmental issues. In this paper, several commercial synthetic polymers were studied for the removal of a soluble tri-azo metalocomplex leather dye. The polymers were used as flocculant aids in the presence of alum. The polymers were classified in the order of their performance which was dependent on their physico-chemical properties.
