Additional information

Whilst there are a few cases where superconductivity appears suddenly after magnetic order disappears, it is more common that magnetic order coexists in some fashion with superconductivity over a finite range of doping. This was the first demonstration of co-existence reported for this class of materials. Similarities with the cuprates suggest that proximity to magnetic order and associated magnetic fluctuations may be the key ingredients of high-T-c superconductivity. The work resulted in an invited talk to NGSCES 2010 (Lanzarote, Spain) and numerous invited colloquia, and has been regularly presented at conferences (e.g. Swiss Physical Society Annual Meeting, 2009).
