Badman determined the spatial distribution of the aurora through detailed analysis of the Cassini data set and provided physical interpretation regarding which magnetospheric or solar wind processes were most likely to drive the different auroral emissions. Her expertise and working closely with the Cassini instrument teams as the lead author underpinned the key findings of this publication.
