Additional information

This pioneering paper was the first to present an approach to mitigating multi-code interference at the receiver for broadband mobile communications by developing the code assignment scheme in the orthogonal frequency code division multiplexing (OFCDM) system. OFCDM has become very popular as a new multiplexing technique for future high-speed wireless communications. Part of the work is included in a seminar delivered by Wang in December 2011, invited by Professor Fumiyuki Adachi (adachi@ecei.tohoku.ac.jp), Tohoku University, Japan. This work resulted in a Royal Society KC Wong Fellowship for Dr Yiqing Zhou from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Ref: NF110853), awarded in 2011.
