Additional information

A key problem in adaptive wideband beamforming is to control the consistency of the beamformer’s response over the frequency range of interest. In this work, for the first time, this challenging problem is solved effectively by incorporating a frequency invariant element into the traditional beamforming methods, leading to a general framework for adaptive wideband beamforming. A further advantage of the proposed solution is the significantly reduced computational complexity, which has always been a serious issue for wideband beamforming.
