Additional information

Ethnographies of Diagnostic Work originated from an international workshop organised by Monika Büscher and Dawn Goodwin. Jessica Mesman, a leading scholar in science in technology studies and speaker at the workshop joined the editorial team. The intellectual energy created by comparing studies from settings as diverse as software development, railway maintenance and medical practice attracted interest from scholars and practitioners. The book includes an introduction and conclusion co-written with a service designer and a medical doctor and healthcare manager, discussing the analytical contribution of the book. The book prompted a special issue in the Journal for Computer Supported Cooperative Work.
