Additional information

This original work published in a leading international journal of significance to bioengineering research was important as it showed that inertial sensors were able to provide gait data outside the gait lab environment. Previous studies have also done similar work however; their algorithms were only accurate for slow speeds and/or short periods of time. The work within this paper showed that accurate gait data could be obtained for high speed running tasks over longer time durations.
