<12> The JAR is the top journal for automated theorem proving. This work uses Colton’s earlier work on theorem generation in a combination of learning, proving and model generation techniques to discover new and valuable algebra theorems leading to a sister paper (Comment. Math. Univ. Carolin 49(2)). It has been cited by researchers at Imperial, Edinburgh, Southampton, St Andrews and Herriot Watt. It led directly to EPSRC grant EP/F036647 on formalising mathematical learning/discovery, applied to AI problem solving and formal methods. The research was covered in a 2009 New Scientist article.
