Additional information

The Introduction of the volume and Chapter 7 are the new pieces of work in this volume with the remaining chapters published previously or submitted to RAE 2008. Chapter 7 is the new piece which builds on and extends my previous work on how Johannes Kepler conceived his astronomical investigations as a "reformation". The Chapter was first published in English in this volume. It was subsequently published in French in: Miguel Granada and Edouard Mehl (eds), « Nouveau Ciel, Nouvelle Terre » La révolution copernicienne dans l'Allemagne de la Réforme 1530 –1630 (Editions Les Belles Lettres: Paris 2009), pp. 319-338.
