Double-weighted statement

This 80,000 word (216p) monograph is the culmination of an ESRC funded project, 50% each author, which took place over 5 years, completed in 2010. The research involved collection and analysis of a considerable body of material including expert interviews with stakeholders (regulators, civil society bodies, industry representatives), focus groups with the public and extensive policy document and media analysis. The project employed a post-doctoral researcher and buyout for the grant holders. The book offers an argument about the changing nature of regulation, the normative basis of regulation combined with detailed case studies of four different areas of media policy.
