Duality of weak and strong scatterer in a Luttinger liquid coupled to massless bosons
The paper presents the theory which predicts behaviour of one-dimensional Bose-Fermi mixtures with imperfections causing scattering. We have found remarkable universality relations between different critical exponents. This result is crucial for the experiments because it explains the phase diagrams observed in the mixtures. It is agreed that our predictions will be tested by Cold Atoms experimental group at Birmingham University (led by Prof. Kai Bongs). The paper started new research direction in strongly correlated systems: the authors have already submitted 3 follow-up papers, gave 11 invited talks and are preparing a new grant application.
