Additional information

This paper presented a discovery that we can automatically detect affective state of a human being based on their behaviour of using touchscreen device to play games. This is the first attempt in the world that touch behaviour can be used as a new modality (apart from face, voice and body movement) to study human affective states. The paper was invited for a presentation at the ACM major conference “Computer Human Interaction” (CHI’2013) in April 2013. It provides an interesting element for the intelligent user interface design on touchscreen devices such as mobile phones, tablets and game consoles.
