Additional information

The major problem with ultrawide band radio for medical imaging has been achieving the theoretical resolution limits and reliable detection of contrast between different tissue types. The Huygens Principle offers certain advantages in terms of computational efficiency and simplicity. The approach combines the information from a wide bandwidth measurement to resolve features and contrast not previously achieved. The work has led to further ongoing international collaboration with the University of Pisa (contact details available).
